It’s no secret that the continued success of the environmental movement lies in educating our children, and local Chicago author Alexandra Gnoske’s book,
Loui Saves the Earth, is an excellent start.
In this short, but sweet book—both written and illustrated by Gnoske—the main characters Loui, and his dog Dusty, discover that animals are being hurt because of pollution and decide to take action. They successfully convince people to help clean up and everyone lives happily ever after.
Gnoske holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and J.D. in Environmental Law and is the founder and president of Recycle Me, an organic cotton clothing company. She lives in North Park, Chicago, with her husband and three children.
